It's been a long time since I last posted here (about a month I believe). I've been pretty busy dealing with work now that I am finally on OCD medication. After all, there's lots of work I haven't been able to get done until now that my anxiety is somewhat controllable.

I was prescribed with both Sertraline (Zoloft) and Clonazepam (Klonopin), 25mg Sertraline every morning and .625mg Clonazepam twice a day. Been taking the Sertraline as indicated, but after reading about the dangers of Clonazepam (tolerance and dependence) I decided to try a lower, kind of when-needed dosage instead – 0.625mg at mornings from Monday to Friday, skipping weekends (since my OCD and anxiety attacks seem to trigger only when in front of a computer at work).

Been taking both medications for around 2 and a half weeks now. The Clonazepam is awesome; once I take it I'm anxiety-free for most of the day, allowing me to rationalize some of my fears in a constructive way, effectively killing them – even after the effect wears off. Still, I can feel a surge of anxiety raising to normal levels once this happens, so I guess I'm still waiting for the Sertraline to kick in (been told it takes from 1 to 2 months). In the meantime, I'll just keep taking the Clonazepam. Maybe I need to increase the Sertraline dosage? Gotta ask the pdoc next time.

At the beginning I was pretty hesitant about taking drugs, but now I see they are not just helpful: they are required. I feel, for the first time in 15 years, I'm starting to take my life back.
