Good news everybody ~ my Uncle is out of surgery and he's doing really well. They're planning on letting him go home on Monday if things still look good. I'm so relieved ~ thank you all for the well wishes and prayer. 🙂 I'm really surprised actually;I wasn't sure how this would go. Now, time to get him to use his dang wheelchair! If he was in the wheelchair he wouldn't be falling in the first place. Part of the problem is that neither my Aunt or my Uncle can lift it ~ and their car won't fit it. She really needs to see about getting one of those holder on the back, but it's really expensive and they're broke.

It's a beautiful here and the perfect temperature ~ 73 degrees with a light breeze. I'm bird-watching at the moment, shortly I'm going to be cleaning our birds' cages. Yuck. I need to make sure I clean them more often, like 2-3 times a week.

I'm having a good day, which feels wonderful. Only a little bit of anxiety and no bad thoughts today. 😀 Yesterday was better too, but with my Uncle in the hospital I didn't have time to enjoy feeling decent. And like a friend reminded me ~ just live in the present moment and don't worry about tomorrow. Enjoy what you can now and take it a day at a time. Thanks Jasper.

My only other concern today is that my Mom is home sick today and yesterday. She's starting to feel a little better though since she's been on antibiotics and an inhaler. Knowing her she'll go to work tomorrow and that worries me ~ she always pushes herself too hard to meet unrealistic expectations. If she's not careful she'll be flat again in no time. She puts in 11-13 hour days as a waitress in a very busy restaurant, always on her feet running.

I wanted to tell you guys about the best part of my day yesterday. Remember how my husband is done with the graveyard shift?Well, all the windows were covered and the sliding glass door too. Last night I got to rip it all down and this morning I finally got to see sunshine in my bedroom for the first time in 2 years. Yaaaaay!!! Now I can go down there and not have to be quiet or in the dark. What a beautiful difference that made for me.
