OK here’s the deal! Now listen! I know that working the steps and praying to do GODS will not mine, hearing my sponsor voice in my head say “DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING” Would bring about change in me but common! I’m going to share this not to get a pat on the back or a job well done. Quite honestly I know that I’m doing better then I use to in the “Right Thing Department”. Not my best that’s an ever ending quest. I share this because I still can’t believe I did it. So here is the story. I was checking my bank account online like I do every day. I know a little obsessive. I noticed a charge for 29.95 that I know I did not do. So I called the phone # attached to the charge. It was a company called, Ideal Wealth Builders Club. Now I know that I did not do this so I call the number. The company is located in Nevada and they weren’t open yet so I left a message, a little Upset. I then being a Google Geek, goggled the number and saw that I was not the only one who was charged by this company? I then called my bank canceled my debt card and told the customer service rep. She told me to my surprise, that if I went into my bank office and filled out a form that they would give me the money back. So I did and got my money back from the bank not the company that took it. So a few days go by and I start thinking about the company and get pissed off. So I decide to report them to the Attorney General of Nevada. I have the website in front of me and think “I going to call this company and give them a piece of my mind. Not that I have a lot to spare. And the customer service rep by the end of the conversation said that they would give me my money back. Being the tough guy I am and all pumped up I said “If I don’t get my money back I going to report you to the Attorney General” and hang up. Sure enough two days later the money is back in my account. Remember, my bank already gave me the 29.95.

So here’s the thing, my first thought was of course “Nice an extra 29.95” Not that the word EXTRA and MONEY should be used in the same sentence as far as I’m concerned. It’s the second thought that blew my mind. GIVE IT BACK TO THE BANK! What! Are you kidding me? They probably will never know. SO I went into the bank and talked to a CS rep who said “I don’t know what to do!” With a little persistence she made a call and they accepted the money back with an appreciative Thank You! As I was leaving the lady said “you know that we would have never known” I said I know but I would have. I’m not saying that I’ll do the right thing every time. Just that I do it more then ever. Progress!
