Hello its me again.

just an update before i ramble on again.

Last thursday on my way into work I had a gran-mal seizure.

i awoke in the trauma center sometime in the afternoon. and since been recovering slowly.

I was bored after my hospital trip so I Google mapped my basic trvaeling and added it all up based on bike routes.

I ride my bicycle approximately 109.6 miles pers week.
Thats 438.4 miles a month on a bicycle, all human powered.
Yes and half of you probably do that in a car in a day no problem,
without having to be concerened about,
what you pack for drinks, snacks and food, tools, tubes, pump
and changes of clothes, First aid kit and Rain gear.
nevermind what you have to consider wearing,
Glasses are a must even with no sun keeps dirt and bugs from blinding you.
Helmet of course for saftey, I'm working on getting one still. Stupid me.
Must have dry socks and confortable shoes to ride with and walk with.
Saving you from dehydration is a good tshirt with stretchable breathable fabric.
and keeping the weight of everything you wear and bring with you to a minimum.
For every hill I ride my Bike down, at 40-60 miles per hour
their are at least two to go up at a crawling 5 miles per hour. If not walk.
Also breathing in exhuast and diesel fumes riding on the side of the road,
watching out for broken places of road where it's easy to crash. people pulling out not looking, dibreas and sticks everywhere.
Avioding puddles and patchs of sand dry or wet.
as the masses of vehicals,
containing ignorant, oblivious drivers,
who could not care less about you as you get passed as you were standing still,
them not seeing you, or beeping to scare the crap out of you, and purposley driving into puddles to cover you.
Flicking ciggerettes and bottles out their windows creating more hazards.
I ride
12.6 miles,1 hour, 11 minutes, one way
= 75.6 miles total to get to work per week
13.0 miles, 1 hour, 8 minutes, one way
= 26.0 miles total to visit my son once per week
Also including trips to:
The Grocery Store, 0.9miles, 6 mintues,
= 1.8 miles round trip, hauling a bike trailer fully loaded with groceries.
Once a week for food.
To The Local Pharmacy, 0.8miles, 5 mintues.
= 1.6 miles round trip for Meds and Misc, plenty of times a week
To Convienent Store, 0.3miles 2minutes.
= 0.6 miles for numerous times a week or day, for junkfoods & coffees's.
Dr's office, 2.3miles, 13minutes
= 4.6 round trip, to visit my counselor once a week. and my phycologist about once a month.
Thats not including nothing for fun and recreational or visiting friends.
By the time its all said and done,
I do it all over again. automatically but yet feel the strains and pains.

Yes to the question I've always worn a helmet, riding glasses. I just have not had any replacment since I got hit on my nike last winter time and cracked my old helmet. I am saftey concious, Because i have permenant nerve damage and a Seizure Disorder. I use a led headlight and a led red tailight on my bike and have all the proper cat-eye reflectors front and rear and on the spokes. I also ride with a bright yellow riding jersey and yellow reflective bands on my wrists and ankles, that some one made for me to promote bike saftey and cancer survivers in my area. I have best of wishes for  those who just started riding and those who ride already to be safe and most of all enjoy it, Thank you for all of your encouragments and support.
