Today was the day I went to Alton Towers to conquer my fear of rides … and I did it!!! (well almost)

I went with the intention to go on Oblivion, Nemesis, Rita and Sonic Spinball … my fear is pretty much every ride – fast or spin or high. So these were the ones I set my mind on trying to achieve. And boy did i do it!!

I went on sonic spinball, oblivion, thehex (already been on that), rita, nemesis (twice), nemesis sub terra, rapids (already been on), runaway mine train, log flume (already been on .. love water rides), air and finally got pestured by my bestfriend and ex boyfriend hehe to go on the smiler … MASSIVE ROLLERCOASTER!!

Was so scared on that one and even had a little cry whilst in the que. He kept asking as he wanted to go on it but didn't want to go without me. I didn't feel like i could do it and to be honest I was really bricking it. I had already done all them rides today that I had feared for so long and was more than what I originally said I'd do. The smiler was by far the worst for me. Afterwards I think I was so numb and quiet because I was shocked I had done it, still partially scared .. I screamed all the way through (not enjoying it but fearing for my life!!). I'm actually glad that my bestfriend had pushed me .. may still be a bit shook up and overwhelmed but I did it! You know. I ACTUALLY DID IT!!

I would like to try Thirteen next time but omg am i so proud of myself!!

I don't know if any of you out there are also afraid of rides, but trust me, go Alton towers (or any theme park that is close by) and go on the thing you fear the most! Honestly you will feel so much better afterwards. Nemesis I was scared because it loops upside down (I dont do well with upside down) but I didn't close my eyes and scream like on the others previous (rita and obvlion). Instead I kept y eyes open and enjoyed it. I even went on it AGAIN! Straight after leaving the station. Was the best feeling and still is the best feeling to be able to have done all that in one day!

Yeah I still think I'm not fully there .. you aint getting me to thorpe park on Saw anytime soon that's for sure! but definitely working on it and this is a massive step forward in my life and kind of closed that chapter of my life where I'm always afraid of things. I GOT THIS.
