One day she’ll come for me
I’ll probably call for her on my knees
She’ll catch my tears
Silence my fears
Tell me I’ve done well fighting all these years
She’ll scoop my head up,
Cup my chin in her hands
I’ll ask her to stop all the pain,
If she can
Death will wrap herself around me
Kiss me ever so gently
And with that touch
She’ll take the air from my lungs
Stop the pump in my chest
And kill off every single voice in my head
I’ll no longer be living,
but at least they’ll be dead.
