Find your personal power and change your world. I am with you.

I like to approach things step by step with you in an attempt to understand you and find more effective and lasting solutions on your journey to a happier, more fulfilling life. I enjoy working with people and helping them find the tools they may need on their journey, and doing this in many different ways. In a real effort to move away from the 'mental illness' stigma, I try to broaden clients views on psychological health and help them overcome everyday problems/stressors/situations. We live in an era where we are constantly busy and on the move and it may take its toll on us emotionally. I understand this, if this sounds familiar to you, please dont hesitate to contact me.
In my practice my primary goal is to provide service to every individual, couple and family that walks into my office with Respect, Insight, Compassion and Empathy. When working with me you'll do more than talking and I'll do more than listening. My focus is to give you practical, real life strategies and evidence based practices to address the difficulties that you are facing. No matter the circumstance or the challenges being faced people that I work with have expressed that they feel validated, heard and understood. I am here to empower you, not enable you because I believe the strength and answers are within and can be revealed once you are ready to embrace the process. The LifeLine is waiting for you to catch it and gain what you need to be your best self.
I believe in the power of therapy to help people escape the grip of the trauma: I work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, abusive relationships, rape and sexual violence, terrorism and political violence. I also have a special interest in birth-related traumas. I find survivors of these experiences are often still trapped by the psychological, physical and social impacts of abuse. Trauma can be buried deep within the non-verbal areas of the brain and in the body and I work with mind and body to uncover and relieve trauma so you can slip the shackles and move on to a more fulfilling life and relationships: trauma is sometimes so deeply buried, it can't easily be put into words, yet still has an insidious effect. I have been a therapist for over twenty years (first as a counsellor and then psychotherapist) and worked for sixteen years in charities helping traumatised refugees and survivors of torture, so have a long experience of working with very high levels of trauma and the impact it has. I am an EMDR Therapist, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, and Solution Focused Brief Therapist. I am also a qualified Fitness Instructor and use exercise to help people improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Are you looking for a therapist that genuinely cares about you and what you want to achieve? If that's you then take a look at my reviews on Google and see what my clients are saying about their experience in working with me. My clients are busy people who are looking for fast results. As a solution I like to get to work on the issues right away which means I will challenge you in your treatment plan so you can achieve the best outcome you ‘re seeking in as quick a timeframe as possible; to help in this process I offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments as well. I respond extremely fast (within 2 hours or less on average) and in most cases I will schedule you within the same week, sometimes even in the same day or night depending on when you call me and my availability. If you call me and I'm available to do so I will provide you with an initial free phone consultation.
