There's not a whole lot to report on today. I took a couple Vistaril before bed last night becuase I was too anxious and wound up to sleep. It's 8pm the following day and I can still feel their effects- I'm all fuzzy and floaty and VERY fatigued. It's not a bad thing, but it makes it very hard to be productive. However, I did manage to do a week's-worth of homework all in one day as well as install my mother's new printer for her, all with plenty of time to spare. ANYWAY! On to more important things…

The one nearly fail-safe way for me to get away from my depression and anxiety, even if it's just for a little bit, has always been reading. Specifically, reading fiction novels and series. The way I read, it's not like I'm listening to a story that someone else is telling. It's moreso as if I'm in the story and experiencing everything right alongside the main characters. This lets me leave my own world and worries behind and deal with theirs instead. In the case of Odd Thomas, a 21-year-old that can see dead people, I get to lead a life an adventurous and dangerous life, rather than a slow and depressing one. Or I can pick up another book and feel the giddy excitement of a blossoming relationship. If you have a good imagination (you can picture things well from text) and you haven't read anything in a while, I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Of course, I know this doesn't solve my problems, but when I've done everything I can and all I have left to do is just wait, this is a good way to perk up my mood for a while. I wish I could just read all day, every day…

Im like that with books too. I have a hard time getting into new series though it has to really catch my attention.i love all the sci-fi/Fantasy stuff except I have this habit of getting into series that aren't finished and having to wait forever for books (Bone Season…) anyway I just thought I'd stop by and say hi
