Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are having a lovely day while feeling healthy and safe!
Today while working on my “task lists” I was pondering on some of the knowledge I have gained from researching and from life! We all have experienced positive, neutral, and negative life experiences but no matter what we are “here” now. I am on a quest of knowledge to understand the possibilities that we all have in life and how to harness our joy and productivity! We all have the same number of minutes and hours in a day! So…..
Ready, set go…..
Depression is anger turned inward
I find this to be true. When I feel down and discouraged, “something” is bothering me more than I may realize or think I know what is “wrong.”
A good question to ask yourself is ,”What triggered me feeling down?” Who was I spending time with? What situation was I in? Did I hear or read words that triggered me feeling down and discouraged?
Energy goes where the thoughts go
I learned that we have the power to file thoughts into categories as we experienced them much like cleaning a room. Thoughts are either “junk mail” that need to be let go, “options” that can spark changes in our lives, improve productivity, can help process past and recent experiences, and they can be a simple sentimental reflection of a fond memory that feels like a hug. Thoughts are nothing to feared. They are your mind working like a super computer in a complex dance of mixing logically input and emotional input. The mind deals with things in our control and out of our control. The mind is quite remarkable and we can work with our mind or against it!
You can control how you react to your thoughts and thoughts that you give energy to with practice
It is true! When I have a upsetting thought, I ask myself 1. How much control do I have over fixing or improving blank? 2. How can I best react to it? 3. Then, I file it away in either work on improving that area of my life or “junk mail.” It can be something just out of your control and you accept that is how it is.
Self parenting is a good tool to deal with anxiety feelings
Always be kind to yourself! If you feels sad, praise yourself in my mind for being brave enough to cry, write it out, or tell a friend. It takes a strong person to be vulnerable! You are only human!
Anxiety is same feeling as excitement. It is all about how you opt to label it!
I love this one! Anxiety doesn’t control me. I harness it to get things done and fully experience life!
Once you write down a intent, it becomes a goal, and then it becomes a accomplishment!
It is true! I can write down little tiny goals or big goals and when you break the big goals down into manageable “steps” anything is possible! I visualize myself enjoying the feeling of success after meeting goals and then I crave that feeling! I feel motivated to get there!
Set 10 minute goals and you will move mountains
Now, this one is powerful!
We are all 10 minutes away from getting a junk drawer organized, taking steps to clean a disaster area messy room, basement area, a garage, applying for a job, or improving a relationship, ourselves, fitness, mental health, general knowledge etc!
It just starts with ten minutes. Ten minutes later, maybe you want to do five more minutes. A few days ago, I applied to this to fitness. I wasn’t in the mood but I timed myself to do planned body movement with intention and goals for only 10 minutes. It turned out to last much longer because once a body in a motion it tends to stay in motion!
Also, I tried the 10 minute rule on working on a not organized area of the basement. It led to 8 hour of work that day! It led to bags being filled with donate items. It led to a cluttered room looking lovely and peaceful looking! Then, that lead to seeks more of the “accomplishment thrill!” The basement looks so inviting and I enjoy going down there now. It is a huge bonus when you live in a area with season because winter makes one appreciate every square inch of their home!
Thank for reading!
Hugs and love to everyone,
Lacey
