Wake Up Wake Up

Wake up, wake up, sleepy child,
Return from the land of nod.

Where fairies take effervescent flight,
Upon Moon-tinged snowflakes of gold.

Their wingtips cutting wisps of song,
From Moon moth cocoons of silk.

Capturing light with outspread hands,
To mix with the sands of sleep.

They sing of songs and ancient rhyme,
Of forgotten tales and journeys.

Their voices sounding thru the night,
Beckoning towards another world.

Wake up, wake up, sleepy child,
Return from the land of nod.

Where unicorns prance and play,
Upon Elysian fields of green.

Their voices raised in symphony,
To beckon you to play.

Between the rainbows and falling snows,
Where time yields to dreamtime and joy.

While Sunbeams dance upon the stars,
And winter tis but a memory.

Dewdrops falling thru air,
Mingle with waters of night.

Take a drink and remain you will,
Within the realm of delight.

Wake up, wake up, sleepy child,
Return from the land of nod.

Where airships of silver cloak the skies,
Sailing upon yesterdays dreams.

They dock in the port of Tomorrow,
Unloading their dreamtime wares.

Spice of love and water of peace,
Myrrh and gold and Carnelian ash.

Pomegranate victuals and mulled honey ciders,
All for your delight.

But stay here nay you can never do,
For time flies on a fanciful fleeting musical scale.

So come back, come back sleepy child,
To the land of the waking realm.

Wipe the stardust from your dreary eyes,
Awake and embrace the day.

Your unicorn steed and fairy friends,
Will see you again this night.

When dreams again come to you,
After the measure of the day.

So wake up, wake up sleepy child,
Return from the land of nod.

Say good bye the Elysian fields,
And the dream time port of tomorrow.

For you see oh dearest child of light,
The Land of Nod still awaits.
