Hey! I know how it feels to have toxic parents who don’t understand you at all. When I was in my first year of middle school, my parents started to become more and more toxic to the point where I fell into a great depression. I started to do things to myself that I shouldn’t have been doing in the first place. I still do because I can’t stop….. Anyway, when my parents found out the first thing they did was worry about themselves getting arrested and shamed by society instead of worrying for their own daughter whose mental health was deteriorating day by day. Not once did they ask if I was ok or why I even did it. That was something my parents did that I would never forgive them for. If you relate to me or have toxic parents here are something I did (pls note I am not professional at this sort of stuff)
- Stop trying to please them
If you keep on trying to keep up with their needs and wants you’re going to end up losing yourself and in the end, you won’t be able to be your person.
2. Try to learn to do things by yourself
This might be helpful if you plan on moving out so that when you do, you won’t be stressed out because of the many responsibilities you have as an independent person.
PLS NOTE I AM NOT SOME EXPERT OR PROFESSIONAL AT THIS THINGY IM STILL A TEEN IN MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!
