This is how it works….THis is what we do…and we do it selflessly…yup…no expectation…I like that… What has my E,S, and H done for anyone? well I shall share, a few months ago, I was at the appt for my weekly counseling session, I am an open book when it comes to who I am and how I got to where I am.  One of the intake secretaries asked to speak to me.  Nothing major I thought I mean damn people talk to me quite a bit now.  She said she needed so advice and believed I could offer some insight…It was a desperate cry for help, I offered all I could…and that was just a simple phone number…the location of an outstanding rehab, and a little light at the end of the tunnel, I suppose eveyone sees the changes we dont…what is the saying "If you want what we have" and are "Willing to do whatever it takes" well she musthave been…I did not hear from her for almost a month…she dissapeared.  I spoke with her co-worker and she was very much in the dark.  I figured no news was good news…Today as I was sitting in Mickey D’s with bob my phone rang…It was her..she had gotten out of rehab yesterday….she wanted to drink…she had picked up the phone and called another addict.  That 500# phone…She agreed to meet for a meeting…after that she headed off with a group for the labor day AA picnic in Syracuse…Yeah folks….this is how it works….

Today I need to cling to that..

I had a small shift in my attitude and not sure what is behind it.  I did have a visit yesterday that I knew was coming but did not think it would impact me so much.  Again sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly…Be careful what you wish for…:)  Life is good tribe…
