So I don’t know if anyone will read this, because there are lots of blogs on this site done by a lot of great people. However, if I can relate to at least one person here, and maybe make a friend. I think I’ll be content with that. You’re probably like, who is this pathetic person writing this all down? I guess I should introduce myself.
I’m Alysha, but I go by Ally. I’m a 16 year old ballet dancer, I have a lot of hobbies which I’m sure you’ll learn about over time, and I struggle with anxiety and depression. I’ve always have had anxiety and social anxiety since I’ve been in 3rd grade, but recently since the summer before my sophomore year, I just started feeling anxious and absolutely dreading going out in public. Eventually it grew from there, but I think I’ll go into how my depression started and the long story in the 2nd or 3rd post I’ll make. Le’s just keep it nice and simple for the first introduction. So anyway, that’s what I’m going to share for today, I’ll try to post at least once a week for anyone who does see this. I don’t want to sound desperate, but I’d really like some friends online here, so if you need one, I’m here! ^_^
My hobbies (to fill up the word count): I enjoy baking because it makes others happy and it stems from when I had EDNOS (eating disorders otherwise not specified), again dancing, I love to read and absolutely love books, I enjoy art and painting (watercolors and acrylic paints), organizing is really satisfying for me to do, and I love my kitten named Lucy who is my profile picture because she’s cuter than me 😀
Anyways, hope everyone has had a cope-able day today – Ally
Welcome to the tribe!
Don’t feel that you’re pathetic or desperate by reaching out. It’s the whole point, to get support. If you ever want to talk please let me know. I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression as well for a very long time. I’m excited to see that you post more of these blogs 🙂
