Hey there,
I have a long history of addiction in my family, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that people will only be willing to seek help when they’re ready. Has your friend recognized that he’s damaging his brain? Has he mentioned wanting to change, or is he still feeling like it’s ok?
Be there for him. I wasn’t addicted to drugs, but other things. And all you can really do is be there. I didn’t get better until I recognized my problem and fixed it myself – with support made it easier.
Be there for him. He needs to realize himself what he’s doing, and want to fix it. Letting him know how it affects everyone around him might help. It’ll make him realize that what hes doing is no joke and that people really care about him.
