So I am done with men who think just cuz I am a girl then they get to say whatever they want. So I was out with my guy friend Max and I was talking to him kinda loud, being silly and doing my normal. I was talking about what I was wearing because I was feeling so good in what I was wearing. And this older guy maybe 50-60s, Idk but anyways he comes up to me and Max from across the room. I was sitting at my table I sat at every time me and Max were at this place, and this man had the audacity* to look me up and down and say, ¨Damn you look good in that.¨ like what, excuse me? So I said, ¨No thanks¨ He then said, ¨Oh darling you don’t like my compliment?¨

I just looked at Max and he said ¨Hey can you go sit back down, we are trying to talk here.¨ The old man then looked at Max and told him no, he told Max, ¨ I am talking to the girl, not you¨ So me being me, I flicked him off and looked at this man and said,¨Okay look, you don’t get it. I am not interested, you are a old a** man and I am a teenager so “no thanks” and please leave.¨ This makes the man look at Max and say, ¨Are you going to let her talk to me like that?¨

This pissed me off, so right at Max was about to talk I say ¨b***h who the H*** do you think you are talking to?¨ He says,¨ Him, I think I am talking to him.¨ I then chuckle and say, ¨Wait, wait you say you were not talking to him. And now that I say “no” you are talking to him and “yes”, yes he will let me talk to you and your old a**. Like this, because he is not my boyfriend and if he was, he knows he can’t control me unlike you and your dumb looking b***h face¨. Max giggles and covers his face with his hand.

Then this old man says, “Look I don’t know who you are talking to darling.¨ Max then says, ¨Look man, she is not your darling and she is not talking to you. Are you that stupid? Or what, like do you not know she is talking to you, oh wait you are old so you probably are deaf as h***?¨ ¨What!?¨ The old man says, so I say it louder, he tells me he heard him ¨ So I said, “Oh well you are old so I thought you did not hear him. Him thinking that he is talking to us for this long was not weird¨ Then this man tells me ¨Look, you have been so rude. Young lady’s aren’t supposed to behave like this¨ ¨Umm i am no young lady thank you¨(Relative to him you probably are younger) I said. So this man grabs my arm and says, ¨I am going to teach you!¨ Max gets up and grabs the old man and tells him to let go of me or he will regret it. The man pushes Max out of the way and says, ¨No, it is you who will regret it¨

So I push the man off of me, and push him, and tell him to leave me alone or I am calling the cops and saying that he is harassing me and was going to try and SA me. The man looks at me and glares and walks out to his car me and max sit and watch him drive away.

We wait a like bit before leaving to make sure this old man did not just make it look like he left so he could follow us, when we get outside we look around to make sure its safe to walk home. When I got home I told my parents and they told me, if I did not wear what I was wearing, then it would have not happened. Like it was my fault for wanting to look good.

My step mom told me that ¨ I cant b***h if I am going to wear stuff like what I was wearing. (I was wearing a baby blue skirt and baby blue cropped top with black converse) My step mom then told me It is my fault for flaunting, what? like I was wearing this to make me feel good. Not for anyone else, and just because what I was wearing was a little “hot” dose not mean that some old pervy man gets to say and do what he did.

This happened about 3-4 years ago but I still wanted to share this for anyone who is wearing something that makes them feel good about themselves. And has gone through this or if someone is worried about this happening. Just know it is not your fault: someone could not keep their hands, eyes or mouths to themselves. If you want to wear something to feel good then do it f*** the men or women that cannot keep to themselves.

If you have ever had anything sexual happen to you without your say, I am so sorry! So you are not alone and that should not have happened, just know its not your flault. I know you will believe you did something wrong no matter how much someone says you did.
