Back to the dating world…..I'm going to keep a positive attitude and choose to make myself happy. I've spent too much time in my life being sad or negative about myself.  I'm done with that.  I'm going to find someone special for myself.  I'm tried of being lonely, and I deserve to be happy.  I want someone wonderful who's crazy about me, and I will find him.  No more hoping for something from someone who's not capable of giving it,  no more trying to convince someone to do something he's not comfortable with.  It was too much to expect that the first person I met after my marriage ended would be the ONE for me.  But he was a great first person, and I learned a lot.  Now I am moving on.

I have a date tonight, already!  It's fast, but my heart is open and I really want someone in my life.  I am looking forward to meeting this guy.  He's a couple of years younger than me, no kids, but I made sure to ask him about how he feels about potentially having a relationship with someone who has kids, and he sounds very open to it.  So….we will see.

He just got out of the military after 6 years and now works fulltime and is about to start school full time as well.  So I know that at the very least he's responsible, intelligent and a hard worker.  And he sounds really nice and was easy to chat with.

I just hope and pray that there's some chemistry between us, that I find him attractive because I've had problems in the past finding the whole package.  The thing I liked most when I was messaging with him last night was that I mentioned I like going canoing (something my last boyfriend and I did, something I was going to miss a lot) and he said he does too!  Then he said he would love to go canoing with me.  So that made me happy, to be able to find someone else to go canoing with so easily and quickly.

It really makes me feel a lot better that all I had to do was log into my dating site and within ten minutes got asked out.  We are going out for coffee tonight, so I'm excited!
