This is my first blog on here. I’m trying something new because I really need some help. Its very hard for me to reach out and talk to people but I’m going to try. Ive had anxiety and depression for about 4 years now, but today/the last week it’s been really bad and it starts to scare me. I guess I just want some tips on what to do.. I try to write everything down or listen to music but I can’t seem to make my mind actually get away from it all. I already have seen a therapist for about 2 years but I don’t anymore. So I guess what I am wondering is how do you control your anxiety? How do you make the attacks go away? What calms you down? Maybe I could try those and see if it gets better for me. Im just tired of everything. I hate that I had to seek this out but at least I know I am trying to get some help. Sometimes I feel like such a failure and like I cant even make it through the simple stuff in life how am I going to make it through like it really is so frustrating. I know others feel like I do and that Im not alone, but I feel alone with it 24/7 and I hate it.. i have had suicides in my family and know that it is not an option but it still gets into my head and its like i cant get it to go away. i try to think of other things but when i get into those horrible lows i cant get out. the other day was so bad and all i could think was i wanted to go to sleep.. i dont want to live the rest of my life like this. i want to be normal and not have to deal with this dragging me down everyday. im sorry that this sounds so depressing. just trying to get some tips on what i should do to help myself.

As someone who also suffers from depression, I have some advice for you. Not sure if it’ll help but I tried, right?

    1. Don’t focus on the negative, focus on the positive. For example, lets say you see a small kitten in a pet store but there’s a car accident outside the pet store. Focus on the kitten, not the car accident.
    2. Natural medicines such as mixtures of different herbs can help. Lavender, salt, rose petals, etc – these are examples of natural ingredients you can use to make an inhalent, topical treatment and/or ingestive.
    3. Breathing exercises can help too, since breathing keeps blood flowing. When you start to tense up from a stressful situation, your breathing can stagger. Keep breathing.
    4. YouTube, video games, social media. These electronic outlets tend to distract us from the pain, but not excessive playing or browsing such as 8 hours.
    Lastly
    5. I know this is hard, but you have to open up to someone. A friend, a family member, a doctor, anyone. If you don’t, your emotions will bottle up and you’ll explode, causing you to do something reckless to yourself or someone else.

If you need help, private message me. Im always here for you bud.

Thank you for the kinds words. I’ve tried the breathing ones before. Im going to focus on doing the youtube videos and see how that works because I think that will help my mind refocus. Thank you again. I appreciate it.

Its the least i can do for someone in need. If I cant help myself I might as well help someone else, right?
