Today has been a really good day, nothing like that fiasco yesterday.  btw  The rain has been drizzling for what feels like a week.  (Really only off and on for one and a half days).  So when the sun crept out from behind the clouds today we ( Bob ‘n me) went out for a walk, to hopefully see a rainbow or two.  🙂

I am trying to wean myself from ALWAYS wearing headphones or earbuds when out in public*… I want to hear the world and all of the people’s voices and animals…  If I close my eyes and really listen  closely, the cars driving by on the wet roads sound just like waves on a beach… a place I would love to be.   🙂

This reminds me of a quote by Father Patric Duffy from the book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior,  written by Dan Millman, “When I go quiet I stop hearing myself and start hearing the world outside of myself, then I hear something great.”  If you have not read the book I Highly recommend it!  One of my yoga instructors asked our entire class to read the book.  I finished it in a week.  The book has some great messages!    🙂  ………….Don’t bother with the “movie” it has like 20% of the book.  🙂

Dogs are emerging with their humans… everyone seems to want to be outside and moving in the warm sunlight, I know i do!  I have been letting Bob set the pace and the twisting path we are on today.  We have met two dogs named Charlie, one is a brown Labradoodle, the other is a smaller black Chao (sp?).  We are seeing lots of people who seem to be outside walking their phones.  ha, ha, ha, so silly…

The world is not on that screen, it is everywhere but on your phone!  Bob has lead me into conversations with lots of people.  It is always nice to see all of these smiling faces, it gives me the courage to raise my face and smile back…

 The bird song is beautiful and everywhere today, they are out on the lawns getting worms and flying them back to their nests.
