Sitting across the room, I watch the way your fingers move up and down the cello.

The way I stare, the way you flip your hair, the confident, cute way you wave hello.

I want you, but I don’t know if I can have you.

Ask me stupid questions about me, the things you do will make me fall harder.

Our eyes meet, a moment complete, leaving me to ponder.

Was it on purpose? Or am I being absurd?

You’re confident, I’m shy. You know who you are, I’m still asking why.

Why am I cursed to like someone so out of my league? There’s no way you’d notice me.

So I’m not going to hold onto the hope that you might.

Your Effect

You make my heart try to escape my rib cage when you laugh.

My blood is two seconds away from speeding when my hand brushes yours.

My ears are ready to ascend to heaven when you speak to me.

My eyes feels truly blessed to behold such a captivating sight.

My fingers itch to sketch your face, so that I never forget how gorgeous you are.

My entire body sung the day you told me you think I’m smart.

It does so now, weeks later.

If these ever make it to you, I know you’re never tease me for what I feel towards you.

I’m just afraid you’ll figure out who’s behind the pen.

These words might reach you, and that’s what scares me.

Two short ones for today! I am going in the order I wrote them. These started around September of 2020.  finished this more than a year after I started it, so it’s really long and thought out. Sorry for the shitty rhymes in 0% Chance. I was trying something and it didn’t work the way I wanted it to. Sorry for not posting over the weekend. This week has been an entire train wreck.
