I made this the other day in hopes that I can share my problems with people who have the same type of disorder as me. I’ve been reading people’s blogs and saw that everyone just writes out all of their feelings, regardless how ridiculous it might sound to people (and how everyone on here uses proper grammer. haha). I’m so glad I found this, and I’m going to write a little about myself.. I am from New Jersey, about 15 minutes away from the beach, which in the summer is populated with BENNIES from the NY area.. but you learn to love them eventually. I am 16, a sophomore in high school. I’m suffering from OCD, where I do rituals to prevent me from getting sick. I knock on my head (only with my right hand on the right side of my head) whenever someone says the word "nauseous" or if I think about throwing up. yes.. I am TERRIFIED of throwing up. I’ve always been afraid for as long as i can remember, but it has been getting bad the past 2 years. My hands are completely dried out from washing them constantly. I get sick A LOT (I am now, I have a sore throat and fever
)and it could be due to the fact that I am too afraid of taking antibiotics because of their side effects, which are often nausea/ vomiting. It could also be due to the fact that I was diagnosed with hypochondria, where if someone around me throws up or if I get sick sometimes, I have anxiety attacks which are sooo scary to me. This kind of makes me feel pathetic, that I can’t handle being sick. I hope at least one person reads all of this. haha.. and I look foward to meeting everyone!

\..just as no two snowflakes are exactly alike..we with OCD r as varied & multifaceted in our own personal uniqueness..however some trends run common between us..just remember that in "our world" nothing is so weird or too macabe that it can’t be spoken about..& more than likely is shared by more than one member..you’re in safe sanctuary now hun..\
Buffster said it perfectly: no two of us are alike, but there are so many things that each of us seems to have in common, even if it’s only the fussing or the fear. :3 It’s great that you decided to join. I enjoy how all of the site members speak their minds as well.
Ah, yes, and regarding the propper grammar… guilty as charged! *laughs*
