I’m tired

The ground shakes

The sky falls

The world opens up from beneath me

I can’t feel my eyes

I can’t feel my heart

I can’t hear my voice

I can’t see the sun

Shining brightly overhead

Crashing into the grassy fields

Of cows and happy things

Burning fiery and loud

My hands shake

I fall

My bed opens up to me

In its comfortable silence

I can’t feel the pain

Or the burning hole in my chest

Or the indescribable feeling in my heart

Overwhelming and horrifying

I’m tired

So I sleep
