Where is home? Is it where your family, friends, and loved ones are? Where you have your belongings? Do you love where you live? Where would you like to live? What was your favorite place that you have lived? Least favorite?

I used to think that home was where your love ones and belongings were.

After living in this Midwest corn field area for 8 years, I don’t find this to be true.

Home for me is where I grew up, went to college, fell in love 💜, modeled, was in horse movies. was a extreme weather person on the news on the regular, did commercial for skin care, did commercial for tourism, got married, had children, saw my babies 👶 take their first steps, had my dream well job, made our home there our dream home, etc.  The house and garage had so much storage too! Oh storage…. 💜 blissful storage space…. Over two hours from inlaws… nice buffer zone!

“Here” we have a acre, land, a few steps from a creek.   We have much much much less traffic.   Charming curb appeal of home.  Walking distance to inlaws…. yes many inlaws…. I think this is the part that bothers me a lot.  A two hour buffer zone is a good thing!

Maybe when my adult children marry and have children, it will feel more like home on the corn 🌽 field state!
