There hasn''t been much to report.  Friday evening I went over to Jim''s house and a bunch of us played Pathfinder.  Not much progress, but at least we played.  Then there was a game of Midevil, where you fight pretend zombies.  Still later I went next door to Mike''s and watched Zombieland.  I got home about 5:00am.  I made my wife some coffee, and was in bed at least a full 10 minutes before she got up for work.  I did not hear her get up.

I got up just a few hours later, because my son had hockey practice.  He didn''t really want to go, so he became rather petulant and whiny.  Practice was uneventful.  We grabbed lunch on the way home, and watched some Doctor Who after we got back.  The End of Time part of the story was rather bleh, but the characterization of the Doctor realizing his fate was tremendously done.  David Tennant turned out to be a hell of an actor.  This funny looking fella playing the 11th Doctor has some big shoes to fill.

I made a huge batch of a spicy Mexican dip for dinner (fed the kids something else).  When my wife got home Jim and Mike were both over.  Mike soon had to leave, but Jim hung around for a while.  My wife ate dinner, watched the end of a hockey game, took a shower and went to bed.  Tomorrow she will work, come home, take a shower, put on her sleeping attire, wait until the children are in bed, then get dressed up and leave.  She hasn''t told me this plan yet, but it is the pattern for the last few Sundays.

I really think I would get a kick out of beating him to death.  The thought of his skull shattering beneath my hands makes me feel warm inside.

I won''t do it, though.  It''s a bad example for my son.  He''s going to be large, and he will need self control, especially since he seems to have my wife''s temperment.

Early Wednesday morning, my wife and I will be leaving for a trip to Pittsburgh.  We are going to see the Penguins play in the Igloo before it gets decomissioned at the end of the season.  They will (hopefully) be beating the hell out of the Philidelphia Flyers.  She seems excited for the trip.  I am dreading being "alone" with her and her cell phone.  I already know she''ll spend the majority of the time texting.  Not just to him, but texting all the same.

To paraphrase some mediocre classic rock, I want her to want me.
