Hello World. It’s Me, Alex/Linzie
I know it’s been a long time since I posted on here. 6 months has been plenty of time for me. I want you all to know what’s been going on lately.
I moved and started at a new school, which has been hard for me. Staring a new school your sophomore year is not as easy as it seems. I’v made a few friends, so I’m working on the social aspect of school. We had semester exams this week, and I did good on most of them.
Now onto the worse part of what’s been going on. We lost someone at my school again. This is the fourth person we’ve lost this year. Already. His name was Nicolai. He committed suicide.
As some of you may have heard if you live in America, there was a party in a city, Sherwood, Oregon, close to my hometown. There was a boy there who pulled out a gun and started playing Russian Roulette (It’s when you take a revolver and put one bullet in the chamber and pull the trigger until it fires). He died before paramedics could help him. His name was Caleb. I knew him. He was my friend.
We also lost someone, Elizabeth in a car crash. A boy named Baltazar was shot by a police officer.
This year has not been a good year for the Silverton, Oregon, United States community. We’ve had to experience death more than any teenager should have to deal with. But we’re stronger than ever. We are there for everyone and anyone who needs help.
If you or someone you know needs immediate mental health help, or someone to talk to, Text CONNECT or HOME to 741741 or call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
Please know you’re not alone. You always have someone in this world.
All my love.
Alex.
