Hello Everyone, This is a recent event that helped me feel more relevant to the world around me. And brought a smile to a little girl ( Lindsey)  whom  I met for the first time a few days later.  🙂

…It had been raining all day and I had just parked in the Library parking lot.  It was late so I was the only one there…. and on my walk to the drop box I spotted a little pink elephant that looked like it had been run over a few times. 🙁  It was completely soaked and stained with a couple of dark smudges.  Poor little thing was not so pink anymore and an ear was hanging by a thread)...

So I picked them up and took them home for a bath. (I did not know it’s name yet)  Once she was patched, washed and dried for a few days, I posted a photo of  her on the library bulletin board, with a “Did you loose me?” title and my contact info..

The very next morning I got a call from Lindsey’s mom, Amy. who told me that Lindsey was really missing one of her “cuddle buddies”, Emery ! So we agreed to meet up at the library the next afternoon around 4:00.

I got there first, and was waiting just inside the front door with Emery snuggled between my hands… I spotted Amy and Lindsey before they even reached the door, Lindsey was skipping (so cute!) and was wearing the biggest smile ever. 🙂

We chatted briefly and I declined the offered “reward”… nothing could feel better than I did, which is worth so much more to me.

I still see them in the library from time to time, we all wave, share a smile and look forward to our next meeting.
