Shortly after I blogged yesterday the police showed up at my door. I was nervous, angry, scared and full of disbelief. The officer was nice enough, and I walked him through the whole scenario and my concerns, so he decided this wasn't a case for him, he needed to call in DCF…which I thought had already been done.

After about 2 hours DCF showed up, a sweet lady named Karleen. Grandma took Zach to play on the computer in the den while Aaron and I talked with her for awhile. Then she asked if Michelle would come up and bring Heidi. So Michelle arrived and then things got even more intense. When Karleen learned that Michelle herself had been sexually abused by Warren starting at age 12, she realized that Corey was imminent danger. Because of this she called her supervisor and made sure that the cops didn't show up at Warren's house because he would either run with Corey or beat the living daylights out of him when the cops left. So they needed the element of surprise and wanted Corey in Michelle's hands when they descended on Warren's house.

This morning first thing we had to drive about an hour to have Zach do a deposition of sorts about what happened with Corey that day, and anything else. Aaron and I were freaked out and overwhelmed about it, and Zach was really scared. But things turned out well, these people are experts at getting information out of abused children in ways that the kids feeling pretty comfortable talking about it. Corey had lured Zach into this circumstance by telling him " I used to do this to you when you were little, and you liked it then ~ so I promise you'll like it now". But Zachary does feel victimized they said and is angry and upset about the whole situation.

Michelle and Mike had to take they're kids up there as well, shortly after we left. We were going to stay with them as support, because if it all works right we'll find out if Warren is molesting Corey or anything else pertinent that will get him arrested or make him lose custody of his son. Heidi will also go back and be talked with as well to see if Corey has been messing with his sister or if Warren has been doing things to her either. I hope to God those kids open up and give them something to work with.

We're all exhausted right now. It's been a very emotional and tense morning and it's not over yet. We have yet to hear what Corey's responses or Heidi's are, as they are currently being interviewed.

The cops will probably descend on Warren's home today and I hope they find enough there alone to arrest him.

I need to go. I can't think straight. I think I'm going to try to nap for a little while. Zachary can play on the computer like he's been asking to do and Aaron can watch some tv.

The agents said that it would be good for Zachary to go ahead and spend the night at his friend Joshua's house like we had planned so things feel normal to him, just another day. I wishI could feel the same. I am a TOTAL ball of nerves. My stomach is doing flip flops.

But on a good note they got the whole interview with Zachary on tape so they don't need any more contact with us. Zachary's part in this is done.

Boy,  life has it challanging turns. I am glad you were on an upward spiral when this hit. While this process is exhasting and frusterating, it need not send you into a downward spiral, sleep, rest, exercise and eat nutrient dense foods.

PS I get is Warrwn is the molester. Is he a father of one of the kids in daycamp.

Was his child in Zach's class at school, or is he part of the neighborhood.

What an amazing parent you are.  Some paretns would choose to ignore this in hopes that it would just go away.  I am so very proud of you and I dont even know you.  Really well done on your part and I will pray to the powers that be in your name.  Bless you.
