Tired again today, but it's really my own fault. We partied a little too hard on Saturday night, and I was hungover all day yesterday. But I have to admit, Saturday night was a blast. Earlier in the day we had dropped Zach off at his grandpa's for the night, and then we did some minor shopping while we were up there, then came home and relaxed some. Around 8 we went over to our friends' house and surprised Aaron with his small party, and then we played Battle of the Sexes most of the night and had a few too many drinks. But we laughed ourselves silly and everyone went to bed around 4 a.m. a little too drunk. I got to sleep until almost 10 a.m. but Aaron and Michelle got up around 8 and went and got donuts and coffee for us. Then we were off to pick up Zach, despite the hangover (at least it wasn't a really bad one) and hung out at Aaron's Dad's house for a little bit. We caught a bunch of tadpoles out of the ditch there and brought them home ~ Zachary loves to watch them turn into frogs!
We went grocery shopping because we were doing dinner for our friends and their daughter and to walk them through the animal chores for the 2 days we'll be gone. We go to LEGOLAND tomorrow. I'm SO grateful to them for having agreed to this ~ there's so much to do and take care of. We're going to have to do something really nice for them in thanks.
Anyhow, after we got home from the store Aaron and I cleaned for the rest of the afternoon. The house was such a mess! Vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping, laundry folding; it was dizzying to get all of that done, especially with a hangover! Then in 30 minutes they came over. We had a nice dinner of Cinccinatti Chili ( I can't spell that word) and did the walk-through.
After they left we tried to relax for about an hour and decided it was bedtime. Aaron coaxed me to drink glass after glass of cold water because I was really dehydrated, and by the time we laid down I was feeling much better. The headache and general ill feeling was gone. I was SO glad. I made him promise me that he wouldn't let me drink so much next time! We don't do it very often, about once every 2-3 months. We passed out pretty quickly. I felt really guilty because I slept so late this morning (10 a.m.! Oh my gosh!). But Zachary had taken care of himself and breakfast. That made me feel a little less like a bad mom. I was just so tired!
Today I've got quite a bit to do. I've got to turn in my availability for work this week, make several phone calls to change appointments around, and possibly run up to Melbourne again to return those workout capris. Then I have to figure out a way to pack without making Zachary suspicious of what's going on. I may have to wait until he's asleep. (sigh) I want to get a good full night's sleep so that I feel good tomorrow and up to all of the walking and the drive there.
On an interesting note ~ my so-called 'friend' Mindy texted me this weekend. I haven't answered her back. She gave me this b.s. story about why I haven't heard from her in over a month by telling me that she had been away for a couple of weeks. But like I said, we drive by her house all the time, and often her car was gone, and then would be back later on. She's the only one who uses that vehicle. And the reason she didn't get my messages or texts? Because her cousin had her phone and didn't let her know that I had called or texted. Oooookay. I'll reply to her eventually, just don't know what to say. I don't like being lied to or manipulated. The only reason I'm still considering this friendship is because of Zach missing his best friend and vice versa. I hope this year in school he'll meet some other friends as well and won't be so close with Josh. I know that sounds mean, but I really want to see him branch out and have other people to hang out with as well.
I'm sorry I haven't been visiting everyone's pages much ~ just been too busy to be on the computer a whole lot or too tired to do it. I hope I haven't offended anyone by not answering they're comments!
Have a lovely Monday, and talk again in a day or two. Not sure if we're taking the laptop with us, and even if we do, I won't get much time on it. Take care of yourselves.
