It's raining, but that's okay with me. It's a gentle and soft rain, and it brings the smell of the earth to life and quietly lifts my soul upwards. The cool air is such a welcome respite from the heat of summer, I almost hope it stays like this most of the day. Except for this afternoon ~ we have to go do our walking and tennis. 😉

I haven't written because the past 2 days have been extremely busy. Friday Zach and I ran around all day shopping (as I said before), then came home and played. Friday night I made myself sick doing my power walk and trying to play tennis (overheated and dehydrated I think) so I came home and went to bed shortly afterwards.

Yesterday I had to work most of the day and it was really busy. It was a longer shift for me than usual, and I had a lot of rude customers. I even got snappy with one of them because he was so nasty to me. There's no need to treat me like I'm stupid because I don't know every sale in the store! They change daily and weekly and I can't keep up with all of that. I was just relieved when it was all over. I came home and took a nap for about 2 hours.

During the day Aaron had dropped Zachary off with his Grammy to spend the night and I was sad because I missed my little man. The house feels so different when he's not here!

I got up around 6 and Aaron and I ended up going to Melbourne (the nearest good size town) and got a cheap dinner and then went shoe shopping for the both of us. He needed new work boots and I need new work shoes. My work shoes were shot ~ they were over 2 years old. So we finally found a pair that worked for me and a good pair of boots for him. Finding shoes is hard for me because of my messed-up foot…I have to have good support. Usually I buy Skechers shape-ups but they didn't have anything in black (which is what I need for work). But I did end up finding a pair that were active-wear that work pretty well and they're light. So that should be good for work.:-)

Afterwards we were invited to Michelle and Mike's for Circle Time (campfire and talking) and ended up staying until 2 a.m. When we got home I crashed and didn't wake up until 10 this morning! It was so nice to sleep in ~ but I feel hungover from all the sleep, even though I didn't drink anything but soda last night. I slept so hard that I didn't wake even once, but I'm sore because I slept in an uncomfortable position. I'll probably take another nap because I'm still a little tired, but Sundays are for relaxing!

We have to go pick up Zachary from Aaron's Mom's house in a short while and then we'll see what the day holds. We were originally going to go walking on the beach and then relax there some, but with the weather the way it is I don't think it's going to happen.

Well, I gotta get moving and go get my little man. Yaaay! I can't wait to hug him and hear him say I love you! He's the best thing ever in my life. I love him soooo much!

    Dear Keya,

Sounds as though you are in control of life at the moment.

I love the way you write, it's very poetical.  While I was travelling, I missed my daughter.  She actually cleaned the house while I was gone!  First time for everything, lol.  She even kept the cat box scooped.  Anyway my point is you are always glad to see your children after an absence.  I've done plenty wrong in my life, but my kids I did right!
