Well what a crazy few days! I wasn’t able to get online last night due to an issue with the phone line which sucked, and I almost suffered withdrawals.

Yesterday and today have been two great days. Yesterday at this course that I have to do, they were talking alot about changing career paths and having a "dream job" and how so many people don’t end up going for it. Today the leader of the course emphisided this again, and it got me thinking about where I want to go. I’ve been feeling really good latley. Feeling like I might just be able to do the things I want to do. I do have the skills, and the knowlege to get out there.

Today when I went into town to meet my mum, I decided to go up to the local TAFE ( Like a technical college, where you can do courses, get certificates that sort of thing) and grabbed a handbook with the courses that available. The handbook was huge, with such a range available, and then something caught my eye. Its been something that I have been thinking I would love to get into, but never thought I would be able to, or have the courage to apply. Human Resources. I decided to ring the TAFE to get some more info on the course, and find out when enrollments are ect. When I called they advised me that the enrolment day was TODAY! What luck! After much debating I made my way back up to the TAFE and went up to the enrollment area. At this point I still wasn’t positive if I was going to go for it, after all this is a year long commitment, and am I ready for something like that? Well there was a gentleman up there, and he asked me what I was looking at doing. I told him, he gove me some great info, and I decided to go for it!!!!! After going through some preliminary questions, I was accepted and now due to start in two weeks!

I’m really excited about this. This is an area of business that I have been wanting to get into since I first seen what the HR departments do. I feel very proud of myself for going though with it. I didn’t think I would. But I did and i’m so glad. I’m looking forward to it alot.

This course is only a certificate 4, I can continue next year to get a diploma, and then go on to university to get the Advanced diploma. I’m hoping that this is a whole new start for me. Something that I have needed for so long. I’m looking forward to meeting new people. Getting out there and starting fresh.

The only down side is that it has brought some of my plans for next month. The positives far out weigh the negative at this point however.

GO ME!
