Yesterday was fun, but tiring in all the preparations and stops we had to make along the way…the bank, Wal-Mart, the vet's, Publix…then to my aunt's house. It took us almost 3 hours to finally get there! Ugh. It seemed ridiculous for such a small trip, but Mom had to do the grocery shopping yesterday because it was her last day off for the week. She bought me a beautiful cactus I've been eyeballing for weeks as an early birthday present. It was the only one like it so she told me to go ahead and snag it or it would be gone. I love it!

We got to Carol's (my aunt) and sat in the shade and ate our subs from Publix and talked. I lathered Zach in sunscreen and made him wait a few minutes so it would dry. When he finally got to go in he was a wild child! It made me so happy to see him have so much fun. 😀

Eventually I joined him in the pool (God it was cold!) and played volleyball with him and worked with him on learning to tread water and swim. He's 7 and he HAS to learn to swim enough to get out of the deep end or tread water if he gets in trouble. It's why I don't take him to the beach by myself. I think I'm going to start taking him to the tidal pool at the inlet ~ it's a cove that fills up with seawater when the tide comes in and it's a safe place for kids. It's sandy bottom all the way around and stays less than waist deep unless you get towards the mouth of the cove. I grew up playing there, but it used to be that you didn't have to pay to get in. It was free in those days.

Anyhow, we had a good time and by the end of it I was exhausted. We drove home around 4, unloaded all of the groceries, and then I hit the couch and slept until 6ish.

Today is going to be another busy one. I promised Zach that this morning I'd go take him to see a movie that was coming out, so in about an hour we're going to leave so we can get good seats. It just came out yesterday so in order to get in we have to get there early.

Then, we'll come home and rest awhile and then when Aaron gets home from working today (doing overtime) we're going to pack up and head back to Melbourne to enjoy the downtown festivals and finally the fireworks. Zach has never seen fireworks before so I'm both excited and a little nervous because I don't want him to be scared by the noise.

As soon as we get home we'll go to bed because it will be well after 10 p.m. Friday I have to work but not until 5, so we can lay back and relax some. I need a day off of running around, lol.

I'm doing much better today than I have been. Seems like the downward cycle ended with my day on the couch. I know I'll be sad if I don't hear from Michelle and Mike this weekend, but I'm already prepared for that if it happens. They'll have the kids this weekend and will have their hands full ~ and we're all still in some sort of silent agreement that the boys should be kept apart for quite awhile. So I guess we'll see what happens.

I guess I should get a move on and take care of the animals and get dressed and medicated, lol. I hope everyone has a good 4th however they choose to celebrate it. Love and peace to all.
