We know that expressing gratitude helps form more pathways in the brain that makes it possible to be more grateful in life, so I am going to express what I am grateful for. I’ll try to write about 50 things!
- I am thankful for Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection
- I am thankful for my boyfriend being a part of my life
- I am thankful for my package arriving in the mail today (my anti-anxiety notebook)
- I am grateful for being alive
- I am grateful for my dog, Meelo
- I am grateful for being relatively calm today
- I am grateful for my boyfriend answering the phone this morning when I was anxious
- I am grateful for music
- I am grateful for the milkshake I had earlier
- I am grateful for the Bible, specifically my study Bible and all the resources I have with it
- My friends
- The smile on my face in this moment
- Being in a call with my boyfriend at this moment
- My boyfriend initiating the phone call
- Being able to go to college
- The art I have for my fursona
- The little things I got last year for Christmas
- The nice weather outside
- My journal entries on my phone, and the memories I have saved there
- For the people who stuck by me in my hard times
- For the people who deal with me when I get anxious every day
- For having had experienced therapy, even if it was temporary
- For all the LGBT people I have met in my life
- For ONLY having anxiety and not having it worse than I already do
- I’m thankful for myself
- The comfortable couch I’m sitting on
- The gifts my boyfriend has gotten for me
- The support I receive during this hard time
- The strength the Holy Spirit fills me with
- The new life I have in Jesus, defined by him and not by my trauma
- I’m thankful for the person I am becoming, I love him
- I’m thankful that I am only wounded, but not shattered and broken beyond repair
- My boyfriend has a family that loves and supports him
- My boyfriend lives in a safe environment
- To be alive even though things are hard
- My high school class trip
- I got my exam and essays done this morning and out of the way
- I’m thankful that I am loved and accepted, despite my anxiety being there always
- I’m thankful I got to learn Greek and Hebrew so I can read the Bible’s original translations
- I’m thankful for the little privacy that I have
- I’m thankful for being able to see my friends recently
- I’m thankful for technology keeping me connected to others in this strange time
- I’m thankful for God’s love for me
- I’m thankful for the fresh air
- I’m thankful for the little things in life
- I don’t have much, but I am thankful for what I do have
- I’m thankful that my boyfriend is helping me mature into a better adult
- I’m thankful my boyfriend is helping me grow into the best version of myself
- I’m thankful for this website, giving me a space to grow emotionally
