Hello Everyone!
Well 2011 is here.. Wow! You know, back in 1991 I never could have imagined 2011. Kind of funny how things work out. Of course I don't even remember 1981. Not going to comment except that I was really really young. lmao. Not so young anymore, but hey! such is life.
Well several weeks ago I talked with my Doctor. He has me scheduled for more Labs(woot woot woot, big suprise there) to check on my numbers again and to get a genotype test on the books. That got me to thinking.
I told him that I already have one on file (and typical of VA doctors) after which he said he needs to run another one so he has it on file. I then responded that the original Genotype test is in my Service Record and thatI would be happy to bring my Navy Medical Record in. He was like: "Well I need toget this test run so I can learn how it is ordered" What the heck?!?!?
So he can learn how it is ordered? Correct me if I am wrong peeps, but this is a test done as a routine measure and if you are a specialist in this field you SHOULD know how to order and run the test. I was a little dumb founded and at a loss for anything to say. What a waste of money and vital resources to order a test that has already been performed. Can we say Waste, Fraud, and Abuse?
All things considered I am still at a loss for words. Then again such happens. lol. I am rememinded of Cicero of the Roman Empire and his Philippics when I talk to this Doctor. lmao. If you have ever studied the Classics you will get a laugh or two out of that comparrison. 🙂 🙂 🙂
So as the years marches in to greet us I am reminded to greet each and everyone of you friends and strangers near and far. Happy New Years my compatriots in this War we wage. May this Year bring many joys to all of you, hope for the future, and hope for a cure. Happy New Years Tribes. Hug yourselves and each other. And if a cat or dog happens to share your life Hug them too. They love it as much as you do. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
