I’ll start off by saying, friends come and go. No matter how long you’ve known each other..sometimes you grow apart. There’s those friends that do you wrong based on relationships. Some will stab you in the back and do things you never thought they would. Theres also friends who mature slower than you. They stay in the “party scene” and don’t have anything going for them really.

Realization. I have realized that I have a dream to chase in my career. I have to surround myself with people who have goals and want to do big things. I have to surround myself with people who are mature and want to accomplish things. I have cut people out of my life for the better. Honestly, my life has been great and I’m happy about that. When you cut the negativity out, you begin to feel so much better. Also, you have to have people in your life who SUPPORT you, LOVE you, CARE about you, and who are THERE for you on your weakest days.

We get older everyday and we begin to realize what’s important. (some of us) We all grow from different families and history….but friendships, some last, some don’t. Some of those friendships indeed last a life time only if you’re lucky.

Keep in mind to keep going. Chase that degree..chase that job you want…chase that guy/girl you love…do what is best for you. Be happy, live life and make accomplishments!

Just a little post to share some of my feelings and realization.

I recently realized the same thing as you and about a year ago ended a friendship that I thought would last forever. It was the hardest decision I ever made and to this day I still feel bad about it even though I know that decision was what was best for me. Since then I honestly have been thriving and I’m doing great with my career etc. Sometimes I feel guilty that I’ve been doing well since the friendship ended, but at the end of the day I’m finally doing what’s best for me. So reading this helped me today.

I agree with you. I have done the same exact thing. I felt better once I got all the negativity out. One thing I can say is that, you should not feel bad whatsoever. You are doing what’s best for YOU. You be happy. Your mental health matters. You matter. Don’t feel guilty at all. This is all a part of life and it happens everyday. If you ever want to, you can message me and talk. I’m always open.

    Summer (:
