Everything that I had ever thought that Brittini's mother thought about me turned out to be untrue.  I have never had a mother like me before.  My manners and chivalry only tell them that I have something to hide. [br][br]Brittini had a semi-brilliant idea for April Fool's Day.  She left her mom a message telling her that she was pregnant.  I don't think that either of us counted on her reaction.  I didn't think she would buy it.  But it was worse.  She cried.  She cried, not because her daughter was knocked up by some dude she's only met a few times; but because I am over here, completely unable to be with Brittini during her pregnancy.  [br][br]Brittini and I both expected the usual "You're too young" or the "You haven't been together long enough" lecture.  Instead, we got hit with "You need to wait until you can be there with her."[br][br]That made me so happy to hear her say that.  I tried to think of a way to tell her that we wanted to wait until marriage without telling her that we had already talked about getting married.  I'm sure that she knows by now.  She's anything but stupid.  I simply told her "Brittini and I have had that talk already and we feel that, even though it'd be nice, neither one of us are in a position where we can both be there for the child and each other."[br][br]That went well.  She just said "That's good."[br][br]That was that.  After today, I feel much better about the question of wether or not I was accepted into her family.  I thought it was going to be a big disaster.  As it turned out, I was the one who got the big surprise.
