I just donated $16.43 to the victims of the Victorian Fire, That is all I could afford and all that was left in my account lol, but it will help combined with the thousands of dollars that every one else is donating and maybe when mum gets home I'll try and convince her to give away some money (maybe lol she does not like parting with money) But 16bux is better than nothing and I encourage other aussies to donate as little or as much as you can, it all helps in the end 🙂
I was reading Simsophie's blog about all this putting some peoples lives into perspective, which is why I chose to donate my last few dollars, I dont NEED those $16 where as the people who have been left homeless and have nothing but the clothes on their back have nothing and could do with $16 for a few dinners.

Im not to sure I can believe that article, I think it is an act of arson not terrorism the slight difference I am getting at, is that police officers have already arrested one man for starting one of the fires, who is actually a volunteer fire fighter, Though it has not been stated, those who light fires who are fire fighters, light fires in hopes that they get called out to "save they day" so they selfishly become a 'hero' btw the man who was arrested was not muslim 🙂
I dont think terrorism has anything to do with this at all, it seems the media or what ever automatically links any disaster to terrorism, there are more evils out there other than terrorism. I personally think these fires are from an act of stupidity either from stupid kids or wanna-be hero's who did not think that it would get this bad and I am glad that they are wanting to charge the fire starter with murder aswell!!! Thats my opinion on the article found by Abbe
I have to admit I got abit teary last night watching the news and Kevin Rudd was going around talking to the survivers and was hugging them and really looked like he cared and was listening to each of their stories, one man was not even making sense trying to speak threw his tears, sobs and gasps of air yet still Mr. Rudd looked like he was trying to understand him and still comfort him, I like seeing a priminister that much involved in the real lives of others, it was nice to see.
