The Bible says that we are all sinners from birth, deserve punishment in hell for our sins, and because God is perfect and holy we as humans (who are not perfect and holy) can do nothing to pay for our sins to acquire eternal life in heaven. There is good news! Jesus Christ (God’s Son), who is perfect and holy, suffered death on the cross as our substitute and completely paid for all of our sins (past, present, and future). Jesus Christ’s resurrection demonstrates HIS victory over death that HE has won for us and that HIS payment for us was accepted in full by God. Here is some more good news…whoever has faith in Jesus Christ has eternal life in heaven, God gives us our faith in Jesus Christ as a free unconditional gift, and HE chooses us we do not choose HIM! Here are the supporting scriptures:
[br]
[br]Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
[br]
[br]Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[br]
[br]John 3: 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[br]
[br]Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[br]
[br]John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[br]
[br]John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
[br]
[br]Romans 4: 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
[br]
[br]Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[br]
[br]John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Yes. Everyone is born into original sin due to Adam and Eve.

Before Adam and Eve sinned everything was perfect. Once they sinned we inherited it from them. But one should not look at it as being unfair. God demands perfection. Guess what? If you read above…we are viewed as being perfect via what Jesus Christ has done for us. So there are no worries when Jesus Christ is in your life.

Charlie…you asked the question…I just explained to you what the Bible states. We are all guilty of sins from birth. The good news is that Jesus Christ saves us from our sins. By the way…no Christian is perfect in this life and no Christian lives without trials and troubles in their life either. The Bible clearly states this as well. Actually, yes…Jesus Christ has done something for you….He paid for all of your sins so that you wouldn’t have to.

I consider myself a christian. I often wonder, why I pray for God to heal me of the OCD, yet nothing seems to change. I was told by one of my Christian friends that God wants me to have victory over the OCD and that my fears of germs just like all fear is a lack of faith. What do you think about this?

OCD has nothing to do with a lack of faith. Remember the thorn in Paul’s side? God did not remove it did he. Just because we are not healed from particular things does not mean that God is not listening to us or that we have a lack of faith. Our OCD is a struggle (just like any other struggle) and God is there to help us with our struggle (our thorn in our side).

First of all, I would like to respond to your quote with a more accurate one ” Don’t have such a Closed-mind that nothing gets in, especially caring, fairness, compassion, and most of all COMMON SENSE!!!. Second, God, or any parent, Demanding perfection has been proven to cause problems where they never existed and make those that already exist even worse. And if we are all conceived in Sin, then a. God wants us all to Sin or B. God does NOT want animals ( which Humans are a species of ) to Go Forth And Multiply. And notice that he tells supposed Christan to Go Forth and MULTIPLY NOT DIVIDE, not these people who sdo often scream they’re Christian unti they’re blue in the face, Love to and get the most JOY out of doing, Dividing people I mean. And, just because some Ancient Book of Myths tells you that you are saved through Faith, doesn’t mean you don’t have to back that Faith up with Actions, not helping others, and showing them LOVE, not the exact opposite of those things.

And, if God is not going to remove the thorn from my side, which one of your other verses says, something about ANYTHING I ask for in God’s name through Jesus Christ will be giuven to me, shouldn’t that include God taking the thorn out of myy side, and can’t I find the tools I need to do it myself WITHOUT beleiving in God, b and beleiving you can’t, isn’t that speaking very little of you compentance and abilities?

Kit, thank you for your comments. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone (the Bible clearly discusses this). Works is a by-product of our faith (it is not a means of our salvation). Why is this all true? Because our faith is given to us by God (without any help from ourselves) which is true grace from God. This is how we can be sure of our salvation (because it is all from God and not from ourselves). What a comfort! As far as the thorn in our sides…everything happens for a reason. God allows things for a reason. We may not like it or agree with it, but God knows what is best for all of us and things are allowed to happen because God wants it that way and it will ultimately work out for the best.

Tina, my page background is from an album from Iron Maiden. As far as your other comments…I DO NOT believe in any God other than the one and only True God and He is a triune God (The Father, The Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit).

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
