Those of you who know me might be thinking, What??

Because you also know that I lost my mom when I was quite young.  But here is the thing, she never is really gone, because I hear her voice all the time;  Earlier today the wireless marble mouse that I use stopped talking to the newest laptop, via Bluetooth…

Ahem. excuse me??  Toby just planted himself between me and the keyboard, I nudge him with my chin while I look d0wn to find the keys I have trouble with.  And when my ear is near his back I can hear him purring so happily, and I can also see him lifting his front feet alternately.  Just like he sometimes does when he is eating, or like he did when he was nursing his mom. (mom’s are the bestest!)  I really do prefer it when he lies down on the towel between me and the keyboard, because then he rests his head on my left arm and I can type gently enough to not disturb him.  Instead I keep tilting from side to side, trying to see around him.  (sigh)

Whoops, I keep drifting further off my original topic – so back to the keyboard….

Fingers are getting cold, where did I leave that cup of tea?*

I turn the mouse on and off… nope, nothing yet?  Check the Bluetooth settings… no, the mouse does not appear there either… Hmmmm?  What have I not checked?  This is when I hear mom’s voice, “When you are trying to figure something out, start with the simplest thing FIRST.”  Aha, what about the battery..?  I pop the AA battery out and check it with the tester we keep in the battery box.  Nope, it is dead. So I pop it out and back into the charger, charged battery goes in, and success..  Thanks Mom!! 

Q –  this laptop is running on Windows 11 Pro, where do I find the “save” button so I can save my settings preferences?

*I had forgotten how much less $$ loose tea is compared to tea in bags.  About $15.00 for 16oz vs $5.00 for 1.7 oz  in tea bags.  Eight of those boxes would be $40.00+

**I am spending today with my favorite animals, the cats Tony and Cleo and Bob the dog,  The livestock are not pets, they are food.

p.s. If I swoop the mouse cursor around Tony follows it with his eyes….. can he be any cuter??  I don’t think so!
