Hey All,

I have always wanted to create  a community living home here in Las Vegas where everyone has something to offer.  We moved to Las Vegas from San Diego where I believe many homes of this style of living existed and the idea came to fruition.  Perhaps moving away from my family on the east coast and missing family dinners and gathering is part of the need for community also.  And to top it off, the loneliest times in our lives as we maneuver through Covid 19.

We are a couple in their late 40’s and are trying to improve our health and wellness through nutrition, exercise and stress reduction.  The husband is in recovery from addiction, studying his medical boards to get back into medicine after a 16 year hiatus, and  I am recovery from Thyroid cancer working a full time job as a Retail Manager in the Downtown Summerlin Mall.  I also LOVE to cook, clean and care for people and animals.  I consider myself a modern day Mary Poppins. We have a little Maltipoo puppy named Buddy, and a Napoleon cat named Scrammy.  Also we believe the more animals (well behaved) the more joy in life.  We laugh at our animals constantly.

I guess a normal day would;

I wake up pretty early most days.  I cook the food for the day, clean, take care of the animals.  The Mr. wakes up about 10am.  I go to work and he stays home and studies for his boards.  I get off work most days around 7pm.  My days off are Thursday and Friday in which I usually run errands, or hang around the home cooking, cleaning, or relaxing.  The Mr. loves to watch movies and needs a movie/tv buddy.

We live quite a normal life, but realize as we get older, it would be nice to have help and support.  Perhaps a goal for 2022, post COVID as this kind of arrangement would take quite a bit of time to find the right person(s).  Here is my vision;

Create a community home of people who cohabitate together that we can all afford which would be much more than we as just a couple can afford now, so perhaps a dream home.  We would all have our own rooms, and share a kitchen, yard, living room.  We could all share cooking, cleaning and taking care of the home and each other.

The ideal people would be;

Ready to make long term commitment sharing a home.  Ideally we don’t want transient people.  We want to eventually feel like family.

You would be willing to put in a lot of time to see if we are compatible asking and answering questions of areas of importance.

You would love animals

You are of a caring nature and appreciate the little things.  People who love to cook in my mind are the best.

If you work from home, that is ok.

We would all be on the quieter side and respect each others privacy.

Drug and alcohol free.  You would not still be in “party mode”.  No visitors unless family and approved by all.
