It's amazing to me what a good night's sleep can do for an exhausted and weak body. I feel so much better today than I did yesterday or last night even. And I got the added bonus of all that rest yesterday afternoon too. It's done wonders.

Already the diet change is helping. I've managed to keep everything in me for over 24 hours! Yaaaay! And I'm drinking so much that I constantly feel full. Last night I drank a ton of Gatorade and water, and I didn't realize how thirsty I was.

I'm in a pretty good mood, except for the continued heat here. I really need to live in a place where there are real seasons, not just summer and winter (and winter here feels like autumn to everyone else). The haze in the air warns of what a hot day it's going to be ~ it's just hanging like a shroud. The cicadas are droning, which is another indicator. We need rain badly; there hasn't been any for over a week now and things are starting to shrivel up.

I wanted to take a moment to update on the new kitty in the house. She's been here a little over a week and has been hiding most of the time and skittish. I could draw her out with treats though, and she loves affection. But she'd get spooked and would run back for her hidey-hole. I was beginning to doubt that she would ever be a "cat" and that maybe she was incompatible and miserable here. But last night she was out and about in Mom's room, sitting like a real kitty on my Mom's recliner all stretched out and upside-down. 🙂 She played with the toys we've bought her, and she even let Carley (my dog) come up to her and they touched noses! I think she's been chased by dogs and that's why she's so wary of them. But apparently she's getting used to their presence here and is starting to realize they mean her no harm. She doesn't freak out when Carley's in the room, or Molly either. She just ignores them for the most part. That's a cat for you, lol. I found that she has spunk and is fun and devious. I'm so glad!

Well, since we're tight on money again (because my husband decided to buy lunch out every day the past 2 weeks ~ which he knows he's only supposed to do 2 days per week maximum!) I don't know what we're going to do today. Don't need to go grocery shopping really, so no Wal-Mart for once! Yaaay! I just have to get some drinks and that's it. I can do that at my work just down the street. So maybe today will just be a chill around the house day. I'm fine with that ~ more time to rest my body and heal.

Ohhhh…a cool breeze has just started and it feels wonderful! I hope it continues for the rest of the day!

I have a question for you guys that's seemingly random. I'm curious though. How many of you always have music playing in your head? Is it just me? There's always a song going, and it usually reflects my mood. I tend to think of it as the "soundtrack" to my life.

I need to make some phone calls and clean the rabbits cage today, and do some laundry as well. Not too overwhelming, but just enough to make me feel busy. Sad how little it takes to make me feel overwhelmed. SMH.

I hope you each have a great Saturday and do something you enjoy. (((HUGS)))

Having your life accompanied by music is not so bad. Except my daughter listens to rap, try getting that stuck in your head, lol
