Tonight is the first night of the Waxing Gibbous moon. I did some research on spells to cast for each moon phase, and for some reason there are no spells recommended for the Waxing Gibbous moon. I am instructed to pause and observe. Well, okay. I\’ve paused, but what am I observing? The spells I cast during the waxing crescent and first quarter are just now coming into fruition, maybe that\’s what they\’re talking about. I cast spells for luck, love and money during those two moon phases. Perhaps the Waxing Gibbous is a good time to make moon water. I will set my moon water jar out tonight. I meant to make solar water today but I forgot. Tomorrow I will also do a quick, easy wish spell with bay leaves. I think that one is best done on a new moon, but I figure I can do it anytime.
I wish so much that I had a permanent altar space. All I have is a tiny corner of my tiny dining table. Thankfully, all my witchy accoutrements appear decorative. I don\’t have a statue or any pentacles, so it\’s not obvious. I am right now drinking black tea for courage and banishment of harmful energies. I normally wouldn\’t drink black tea so close to bedtime, but it\’s very soothing- I added half and half and sugar to it. I am proud to be a witch again. It really suits me very well. I remain a Christian as well, I can\’t deny the divinity of Jesus. Yet I can\’t find Jesus anywhere, so I continue to seek Him in witchcraft. I don\’t know how much sense that makes, but it works for me. It gives me some measure of control over things.
