You can just go ahead and get used to me picking other from the mood box up there. It changes like the tides. I'll probably feel different by the time I get done writing this blog, let's see.

As you know, or probably do if you've read my other blog, I'm in Iraq. Stationed on the edge of the Sunni Triangle, right on the bank of the Tigris River. It's hot, we're moving more steadily into the triple-digits, although I work night shift (7 -7) and don't experience the full force of the heat.

Right now we're living 5 to a room, I just got some pretty good roommates, they're clean and don't smell (too) bad. Everyone in the room is on the same shift finally, so we don't wake each other up on our day off.

I changed my schedule up a bit today. I did the same thing for about a month after I got here and that got old, then  I changed it up to something that worked out for about another 60 days or so, time to switch it up again. I've been running the bleachers at Saddam's soccer field here and laying out at the pool for a couple of hours after work. I try to go every day, but some days I can't. We've had some pretty heavy dust storms quite frequently lately and it's kind of put a damper on the outside activity. Hopefully all that's over with.

I feel a lot better today than I have in a while. There's a bit of anxiety that just comes with the territory when you're here. I know there's a few hard cases out there who'll spit those convinient little sayings about serenity all the time but you know what –

Anyways, it's hard being away from home when you have to depend on others to take care of your belongings and animals and general business back home. I had a roommate when I left home,  and he decided this past week that it would be better for him to live somewhere else. Sure would have been nice if he had let me in on that! So I'm scrambling around trying to get ahold of someone close by and check on my pets and my house. I have another roommate who was with me over here, he sould be home soon.

Well, this turned out to be a rather large one! I'd better quit now, I have to write another one sometime today to keep up the 30 in 30! I missed out on blogging yesterday. It was my day off and I didn't have access to a computer I could do this from. Hey, nobody said you had to write a blog a day! Just 30 in 30!

Peace~

Kelsey
