Hi everyone, I haven't had much of a chance to write, although I do swing through and check on the blogs to see how everyone is doing.

I have to laugh because our life is in complete turmoil again and now it's just beginning to seem normal.I finally got a job. I am the assistant farm manager for the California State Fair Exhibition Farm and Cal Expo. I'm in charge of putting a micro-farm together in time to open the fair. I don't start until the 14th and the family is already getting wonky on me. My little girl has never come home knowing I wouldn't be there. I don't know how I'm going to run this house, which is in pre-foreclosure, deal with the debtors, IRS, EDD, South Dakota Childrens Services, State of California taxes and run our vacation rental which is where we get the most income during the summer. OH WELL!

God sent me a wake up call to get my priorities straight.

Last Friday, 5:15 a.m., our little girl came to our bed and said, "Daddy, there's a man sleeping on the floor in the hall".Daddy of course told her she was dreaming and to go back to bed. She refused so Daddy walked out to the hall where I had piled some blankets to be washed. He reached down to pick one up saying, "See honey, there's no……WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!!!???? There was a young man curled up in my dirty laundry. He had come through our large, dark lot, following the night light in my daughters room. He opened her door, yes, I know, and walked in. She asked him what he was doing in her house and he replied, "I'm home, why? and went down the hall to pass out. So here we are at dawn, my husband in his shorts, staring at this nice looking young man who is obviously plowed. He finally figured out that he had walked into the wrong house. So he left.We didn't see any sense in calling the police and sort of let it go at that. I ended up calling my favorite talk radio station and telling them the story. The young mans father heard it and mentioned to his son that he had gotten in very late. Memory returned, don't you hate that, and he realized that I was talking about him. He found out where we lived, came over and apologized for his actions. My girl very deliberately told him every detail of his actions. So we all finally decided that we had all been lucky. Him, that he hadn't walked into someone elses house and been shot or hauled off to jail, and for us that he wasn't some dangerous man. The doors are all locked now. Luckily, the glock was on my side of the bed, or my husband probably would have grabbed it and then it would have been a real mess. So, Thank you God.Now I'm trying to plan my son's 12 birthday party without spending any money. So it's hot dogs and whatever at our rental cabin. It's supposed to be in the 80's which will be wonderful. Soccer, bocce ball, swimming, I think they'll have a good time. Then I have to get back home Saturday nite, try to get the house put together and plan a weeks dinners that can be cooked  quickly. I have to leave the house at 6:00a.m. to get to work at 7, and don't get home until 6:00 so I won't have a lot of extra time. I'm already so far behind in everything that I think I can see my own tail ahead of me! But all in all, things are going, I'm thankful for this job although it's going to turn our family life upside down for awhile.

So, to those of you who have dropped by and left me a message, I am reading them and jot a line or two when I can, and to those of you have a tough time, hold the line, the promises do come true, their just what we need, not exactly what we want.

Love to you all, Peace and Hugs, Demi
