I love haiku, it allows a writer/poet to capture a moment in time that may seem insignificant, and justly give it life forever.

Wind blows briskly soft-

the idle tide sits below

the wallowing isle.

Let me dry your tears,

if only for a moment

we can be just us.

I see no mountain

as high as the all holy-

Heaven's majesty.

I apologize

for this big inconvenience-

this was not my plan.

Blue bird oh blue bird,

she never sings nor takes flight

nestled with her chicks.

I once saw this girl

gleaming at me in her car

staring at my tie.

Bleach blondes and redheads,

what should we do about you?

At least she has hair.

A child with sniffles

snow moisturizing her hair

cars slow to fifteen.

The tie on the neck

of the man with no money

makes him more than man.

Dear ol' Santa Claus,

don't bring me a bicycle;

I can't even ride.

Hello butterflies

that live within my tummy

please go fly elsewhere.

Heartbreak is serene

except not coming from you

my heart goes boom boom

That make-up you wear

blocks the natural beauty

you naturally have.

These tears that I cry

are happy, but also sad-

bittersweet they are.

Your smile may just be

the most beautiful of all

the smiles in the world.

Alone I may cry,

mourning the loss of a chance,

but with you I dance.

Dearest misery

with you comes great happiness,

in the form of love.

Girls think I'm ugly

What does it matter really?

I care, but so what?
