Alright, so here is a quesstion; does anyone have any experience with in-patient treatment for OCD? I have been to therapy on and off for years, and though I still hope one day a "breakthrough" will come, it hasn't so far. I didn't know if anyone had ever been actually admitted to a facility for OCD. I have had OCD for years. Over the past few years though, I started developing some troubling anxieties in my occupation, to the point now where I am not working in the same capacity as before. Some of the anxieties have begun to subside because I am no longer faced with the situations previously encountered. Unfortunately, I can't stay employed in this capacity forever, AND, now that some of the other anxieties have diminished, my OCD has resurged with a vengence. Now I am late to work because I have to check all the doors before I leave, even after I take pics of them on my phone. I have to ask my spouse to check the faucets, even though I do it repeatedly prior to leaving for work. Once I get to work, my handwashing is through the roof again, I am afraid I drop or lose paperwork, I have to check, recheck, and triple check the numbers on files I pull from cabinets. I worry about how much longer I can stay in this capacity, what will happen if I don't improve to the point I can go back to my original position, etc. I am turning into a hot mess, and something has got to change. Even though I don't want to spend even one day completely apart from my family, maybe a period of intense, uninterupted treatment might help. I know the current route of meds and therapy has yielded very little positive results, and the meditation, anxiety support groups, etc. hasn't worked either. Something has got to change before I drive every single person I care about away. Comments are encouraged…operators are standing by…
