January of 2011 came in with a difficult, but very big bang it was the coming birth of my grandson, "our first." James-Alexander is his name, though he came sooner than expected, it was on one of the worst nights in Missouri, our first snow storm, before the worst one of the year.
James came on the 20th of January.
His mom after in labor for 10 1/2 hours, and pushing extremly hard for close to an hour, was too high up the birth canal.
Something called sunny side up, he was looking upwards instead of head down, it was just impossible, for him to do a backwards summersault through the pelvic bone!
So close and yet so far! The doctor said we could have another 20-30 hours of this!
I shook my head as to no!
It was for her best interest to have a c-section.
I knew it deep inside, for no one should push so hard as she did for close to an hour, as tears were coming down my face. I took some tissue for my nose, to try to compse myself.
It was the sadest and the happiest time in my life, filled with so much stress of the day, yet, nothing compared to what my child went through!
This winter is also the start of something long for me anticipated!
I have my book that is finally out!
It is called Once Upon A Midnight Summers Dream by Ekaterini Patlakis
It is sold on createspace.com & amazon.com
You will find it under Autobiography/General in their books
Thank you for your support! May we have a great year to come!
Congratulations!
