WARNING: This story is emotional and really out of the random

Okay, so about a week ago i was in Target, looking at a end cap. In the isle, there was a 16 yr old kid, and a middle age man, probably his father. They were looking at mirrors. So the kid is starring at a mirror and he asks his dad, “Hey, do you think this mirror is hung up straight?” And the dad replied with “No, not really.” And then the son broke out in a grin aand practically yelled, “Good, BECAUSE IM NOT.” And the dads face totally drained and he screamed “JESUS CHRIST MY SON IS GAY” but he wasnt mad, he was just taken back. Then, they just grinned at each other after a few seconds of just a awkward WTF moment. They both started crying and they hugged for like 10 minutes straight. It was so emotional and i was just standing there like “Holy fuck” while i too was sobbing. THats how he came out to his dad, in the middle of Target, with a corney joke. BUT THEN,  the guy who worked there, had to be in his twenties, started shouting at them, about how homosexuality is a sin, and to never act on it, or whatever. I was so shocked i went up to the guy, started shouting at him LIKE HOW DARE HE DO THAT? The manager then cam out and the dad explained to him what happened. The manager fired the homophobic worker and gave us free drinks at the Starbucks inside the Target. That man is amazing. The homophob was screaming the whole time while he was leaving about how everyone in the store was going to hell, and we laughed at him. That was one of the best days of my life. Now me and the gay boy text all the time. We are good friends now, and we are actually going out to lunch tomorrow. So thats the story i guess. Now im crying again.

That is like THE BEST WAY TO COME OUT!!! I’m thinking of coming out to my parents, and I was wondering how I should do it? My options so far are:
    1. Make corny joke like that guy did.
2.Send my family a youtube vid called coming out
    3. Idk I need more ideas!!!

I have seen a lot of people record their coming out to their parents and capturing their parents response. it is a moment in a person’s life that will change forever, in may aspects.

Even at 35, I still had a hard time coming out to my mom. Since then, I have not had a relationship with her or my step-dad. It is hard when you are rejected by the same people who are supposed to love you unconditionally. It breaks you into pieces.
