I’m not sure if I discussed this in previous blogs, but I feel like I’m being watched.
My father placed cameras in the house. There are two pointing towards the island (away from the door at that) and more pointing towards the front door (which I can understand). I feel like I live in a really nice looking prison.
It all came to a point for me when I went on the house network (where my family keeps our memories over time) and found a video recording of my friends who I had over and I during a study group. It was so creepy and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my LIFE. WHY was there a need for that?
I NEVER leave the house and have NEVER snuck people in or snuck out, so it really ESCAPES me why my dad feels the need to keep these cameras around.

Wow. You just described my life. My dad’s house was over the top gorgeous but he had cameras everywhere. A few months ago he saw me making out with my boyfriend on them and recorded it and took screenshots. I’m 25 🙂 I’ve since cut him off because I’ve recognized his toxic patterns. Never be afraid to stand up for yourself and if you get a creepy vibe from ANYONE (and yes, that includes relatives) follow it because your gut is often correct.
Lack of trust and keeping secrets will destroy any relationship, family or otherwise. I would want to know why he felt the need to record this. Do the cameras record everything? Does he choose what to save? If so, why did he save this? This are legitimate questions you can ask in a respectful way and have a right to know. Is your mother in your home with you? Can you discuss this with her?
