I hate when people always associate polyamory with only a sexual nature. yes it has an element of sex, as do most relationships but its also about mental attraction as well. I say all this because my first coming out was like this. when I said I was Bisexual it was all fine, but when I said I was poly the response was ‘so you like shagging a lot of people then, I get that’ and that’s what made me doubtful about being in love with more than one person.
