The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do. ~ Anonymous
It’s true. I remember times when I didn’t want to get better. I remember times when I didn’t want to take pictures of myself. I didn’t WANT pictures taken of me. Because every time I smiled. I knew it was fake. To this day, I don’t want pictures taken of me. Or at least, I don’t want people to say, “Smile for the camera!”. Because if I’m not happy, I’m not. You can’t change that. I don’t want people to think I’m a happy person. Because I’m really not. People don’t deserve lies. People deserve happiness. I’m sure everyone does. Everyone deserves a second chance and forgiveness. Everyone deserves to be put up and now let down. Everyone deserves to smile. An opportunity to smile. A reason to smile. Not a fake picture smile. Something genuine. Even if it’s someone crying. Or someone angry. Or a laugh. Because it’s real and real is beautiful. Being yourself is beautiful.
You shouldn’t judge others. Not just because it’s prejudice. But because it’s something more. They’re fighting a battle of their own, they don’t need more. They have more than enough on their plate. They don’t deserve your judgemental opinions. They deserve more than that. They have a problem so don’t make it worse. Try to help. Because, people who say they’re fine? They’re not okay.
I’m not okay. But that’s okay. It’s okay to not be okay. Because it’s normal. So don’t make people not okay. Because you need to help.
