So, apparently something on my Flickr page offended some good Christian, or somebody’s grandma, or dog, or something, and I thusly received a strongly worded letter from the Flickr people about how my account had been shifted to "Restricted" status, because someone bitched about the content. There was a very shame-on-you sort of tone to it. I had to laugh. I mean, it was an honest mistake – had I realized how the whole filter thing worked, I would have chosen the "Restricted" status, because I know how people are, and I know that a lot of people are so uncomfortable with themselves, their own sexuality, or with sex in general, that they actually feel involuntarily impacted in some way by the sight of other people getting off in interesting ways. I mean, come on… I don’t shoot actual sex acts.
It’s all fetish and BDSM, and there’s rarely anything more than a bare ass in play (a male slave’s ass, in most cases).
I realize I should no better than to expect an actual free exchange of ideas and information, unencumbered by censorship, anywhere in the world, including the internet. I mean, I live in a culture that finds the visibility of a woman’s pubic hair and nipples more disturbing than gross acts of violence. I was a teenager when the movie "Seven" came out, and that same weekend, "Showgirls" was released. Of the two movies, "Showgirls" got the NC-17 Rating, because of all the nudity and sex. Torture and depraved acts of brutality, that’s an R rating, but SEX…. oh, dear God, anything but that…
I am only half serious.
But, come on… they even included a threat, that if anyone bitched again, they would most likely terminate my account. I’m thinking, if I agree to roll with this "Restricted" status (which limts my ability to share pix via Flickr, which is lame), and thusly acknowledge and agree that my stuff is DOWNRIGHT OFFENSIVE… how could anyone claim to be offended by anything, at that point? They have to wave all rights to taking offense just to get into the "Restricted" content. Can I still be held responsible for the taste, or lack thereof, of freaking thought police, who have nothing better to do with their sad little lives than fire off complaints to the Flickr people about art they would rather not look at?
Oh, that’s right. I almost forgot. Someone has to protect the children. I mean, some kid could see a grown man getting flogged by a hot woman, and liking it, and then where would we be? What kind of a sociopath would this kid grow into at that point?
In any case, the Flickr people have kept the world safe for Christians, grandmas, and all other prudes who cannot simply click away when something isn’t their cup of tea. I’m sure everyone involved feels really important right about now.
And, I am hanging in there, by the way. Not as crazy as I have been, but not as sane as I would like to be, but the art is going well. I have been productive, and busy, and things have been happening fast.
I had a shoot today with Miss Panic – a gorgeous Domme who I have had the good fortune of befriending. Can’t post photos off of my Flickr page onto my entries anymore, or I would share a pic or two with you guys. For anyone who dares to look:

Didn”t you know that nudity is the number one cause of cancer, terrorism, murder, global warming, Aids, male pattern baldness, gas, high taxes, the current top 40 hits, etc? In other words, it”s the end of the world. Thank god that lowly soul saved us all from the corruptive nature of a picture. We are now safe and the world has been saved. Uh-huh.
Funny thing is, I bet if you did a picture of someone being punched out or shot no one would have complained. Funny how in the States violence is ok but the slightest suggestion of sex or nudity is a big horrible thing. No wonder the States is so violent – violence is "ok", nudity and sex is not.
Have you thought of deviantart.com? They”re very liberal there (but filters are needed as well…sigh…) and you”ll probably get more acclaim that way.
